Python Automation

Excel handles a lot. It does not handle everything. Web scraping, API calls, large-file ETL, and long-running batch jobs sit outside the spreadsheet's comfort zone.

I build Python scripts and small services for that work. Output lands back in the format your team actually uses, which is often an Excel file. The automation runs on a schedule or on demand, headless, on the machine that makes sense for the workload.

What you get

  • A Python script or small service covering the automation scope agreed upfront
  • Documentation covering setup, configuration, and the run log format
  • Output written to whatever format downstream consumers need, including Excel
  • Source code you own outright, with no licensing restrictions
  • Reasonable deployment guidance for wherever the automation needs to run

Common scopes

  • Web scraping: job boards, catalog sites, rate sheets, public registries
  • API integrations: CRM sync, webhook processing, scheduled data pulls
  • Batch ETL: transform large CSV or JSON files into database loads
  • Document processing: PDF extraction, automated report generation
  • Workflow glue: small services connecting two systems that do not speak directly

Reference project

The JobScoutAI project is a full Python application that scrapes five job boards, scores postings against a candidate profile, generates tailored resumes, and tracks applications through a web dashboard. Public source on GitHub.

Pricing

Project-based pricing starting at $200. Scope and cost locked in writing before work begins. Python projects range from one-week scripts to four-week services depending on scope.
